I thought I would resurrect this post as the release date for Star Wars is now 2011 and this is due out in 2 weeks.
So any thoughts on a PK community on this game?
If you are still unsure keep an eye on the homepage where I will be linking some videos to help you choose.

The graduate with a Science degree asks: "Why does it work?"
The graduate with an Engineering degree asks: "How does it work?"
The graduate with an Accounting degree asks: "How much will it cost?"
The graduate with a Liberal Arts degree asks: "Do you want fries with that?"
The meaning of life is not a question to be answered, but an event to be experienced.

lol Jacko.
Just do what I do - give it a bash and if its crap - oh well you wasted x amount.
TBH you got to look at it like buying any single player game. Most of them are completed in the first month of buying with the odd exception.
After watching various videos about this it looks like a fun relaxed game.

most single player games that I buy are ones that are highly recommended. (example are dragon age, borderlands, etc)
for the less famous games I normally try the demo first (or download the game and buy it if its good enough)
also the borg dude you will only get if you do a 1 year subscription

It might be the last day of the last weekend of Beta Testing but that hasn't stopped them from rolling out a final 200+ MB patch to the beta client!
