A hybrid army erupts through fiery portals in the Shiverpeaks. A Molten Alliance between the dredge and the charr Flame Legion has created a force powerful enough to massacre any who stand in their way. One settlement, one homestead at a time, they’re wiping out all resistance. The razing has begun.
In Flame and Frost: The Razing you’ll meet the norn Braham and Rox the charr, two Tyrians who fervently believe in doing what’s right, no matter the risk. Join Braham and Rox in a desperate battle to defend their homelands from annihilation in the third installment in this four-part series!

March will be a huge month for fans of World vs World PvP mayhem in Guild Wars 2. The ArenaNet team is hot off their February update which included all new daily achievements, guild missions, a new sPVP map, and upgrades to the trading post... but they're not slowing down. We caught up with Habib Loew (WvW Coordinator and Principle Programmer) to talk about the forthcoming changes to the WvW system. See what's in store for WvW in our exclusive interview. Let us know what you think in the comments.
In the upcoming patch on February 26, Paid Tournaments are going to be replaced by Free Tournaments.
One of the reasons we initially introduced Paid Tournaments was to create a place for hyper-competitive, highly skilled players to find matches with other players of comparable skill, leaving the Free Tournament system available for more casual competitive play. However, now that we have a ratings and matchmaking system in-place that matches players of similar skill levels, we’ve decided that the ticket cost barrier-to-entry of Paid Tournaments is no longer necessary.

The sky falls and the ground shakes in the lands of the north. Charr and norn refugees crawl from the wreckage of their homes in the Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau, struggling to find shelter in the south. The call goes out for volunteers to assist the victims in this time of need, when earth and sky seem to have become the enemy…
Flame and Frost: Prelude is the prologue to a multi-stage narrative that will bring big changes to Guild Wars 2 in the months to come.
By Colin Johanson
Happy 2013 everyone! I wanted to take the time to provide insight on some of the exciting features, events, and stories we intend to bring to Guild Wars 2 in the first half of the New Year.
It’s been a fantastic ride so far – in the few months since Guild Wars 2 launched we’ve sold more than three million games and have become the most critically acclaimed MMO of 2012. We’ve introduced the new Fractals of the Mists dungeon experience, brand-new PvE and PvP maps, events of all sizes, our Lost Shores world event, and two massive holiday events.
And this is just the beginning. Our goals for the New Year are to build on the areas of the game that were successful in 2012, to learn and apply lessons from things that didn’t work as well, and to make sure that 2013 is a year none of us will ever forget.
So what does all of that mean? Let’s dive in:
Colin Johanson has taken to the official forums again to shed a little light on the upcoming update. Although not giving exact details, he has sought to provide a little information on the timeline and control expectations.
Hey guys,
Just to help provide some clarity on this, we’ll be releasing within the next couple of weeks a high level summary of our big plans for the first half of 2013 to help provide more transparency into our plans with the game going forward. This will include providing more details about our goals for the game, information about the stories and features that you’ll see in the Jan/Feb/March releases.
To set expectations accordingly, the January release will be a relatively small release that sets the table for the stories and features we plan to roll out with the Feb/March releases and beyond. Also, there will be no new race, profession, or new region with these larger Feb/March releases. One of our major goals with these releases is making our existing world as strong as possible, ensuring there are reasons to go to all the locations in the world we’ve already built, and strengthening the core game we’ve provided. In saying this will be an expansions worth of stuff in these releases, we’re talking about the number of new features that will be rolled out across PvE, WvW, and PvP in early 2013, which usually you’d only find in an expansion for a traditional MMORPG.
More details and specifics to come in the next couple of weeks, but I hope that helps provide some more insight into what to expect at a very high level.
I know many people will be hoping for additional ascended items outside of the Fractals of the Mists as well as a precursor scavenger hunt. On a personal level, I’m hoping they add purpose to now empty zones, provide a greater focus on WvW and fix the many remaining profession bugs. Bring on the update!

Hello, everyone! I’m Isaiah Cartwright, lead designer on Guild Wars 2. I wanted to talk to you about two upcoming changes to the fractal dungeons: reconnect and party-tier improvements.
Currently, if a party member disconnects from a fractal dungeon run, they are unable to rejoin, which can cause a lot of issues for that player and their party. Our new system will allow players who disconnect to reconnect to their party and jump back into the dungeon. We certainly understand how frustrating this situation can be, and would like to apologize for the delay on this fix.

The first official video showcasing Wintersday has just been revealed on the official website. All I will say and certainly not wishing to spoil anything, is that it looks absolutely incredible and I'd have to say it looks like they've even surpassed Halloween. If that doesn't get you excited for Friday, I'm not sure what will!

The nights may be long and dark, but Tyrians of all races keep joy alive during the ancient holiday of Wintersday. While each race celebrates Wintersday in their own unique way, children all over Tyria share a common love of one thing: toys.
This year the city of Lion’s Arch will host the asuran Toymaker Tixx as their special Wintersday guest of honor. Before Tixx arrives in Lion’s Arch in his massive airship toy workshop, he’ll visit every major city in Tyria to deliver Wintersday toys and holiday cheer.\

On Monday the 3rd of december Pandion Knights will move from Gunnar's Hold to their new home Seafarer's Rest.
The reasons for this servermove has to do with dropping population on Gunnar's Hold (PVE and WvW) and the stagnating recruitement.
I still want to thank the Gunnar's Hold community for the good and the bad we had, the <INT> Alliance wich broke up 2 months after release when the first guilds were starting to transfer and ofcourse our own members because they are patient and loyal and that they see that we are trying to offer them an overall fun experience in every aspect of the game.
We will be seeing you all on Seafarer's Rest.

Things have been quiet for a while in SW:TOR for PK, but when patch 2.0 came out, activity has gone up again far enough to start up operations again.
After a few runs on nightmare modes of classic operations (getting a few people the infernal and unyielding titles), we set our sights on Terror from Beyond this week. During our first run, we managed to clear all bosses up to the Terror from Beyond, but weren't able to get him down.

Being a large multi-gaming community it's not often people get to mingle with others from different games, so it was decided we would all get together in a mutual free to play game which the only requirement was for you to pick it up and play. Although not completely free we decided that along with the steam sale of Left 4 Dead 2 that we would utilise our L4D2 server and host the community night on there.
