At the recent E3 event it was officially announced that players would have their own ships and that they would be fully customisable.

Since then there has been a lot of speculation as to if these ships are purely cosmetic, like player housing, or if they can be used in some form of Space Combat.

Well information coming from Darthhater.com seems to confirm that SWTOR’s Community Manager has announced that ships will be used for space combat as well as your home.

Let’s hope this combat is not as linear as Star Wars.

Now on to some more SWTOR news.

Recently announced at E3 was the ability to have your own Spaceship in SWTOR.  Not just any old spaceship though as that would be too easy.  LucasArts and Bioware have announced that the spaceship you get can be fully customisable.

In addition to the above revelation the guys also announced “Battlegrounds” as been the primary focus for PvP combat.  This concept works brilliantly already in WOW.
