Final Fantasy XIII hits Japan Dec. 17

The epic JRPG will arrive in island nation both solo and bundled with PS3 console; Square Enix still shooting for NA, EU release in spring 2010.

TOKYO--It has been a tortuously long wait for gamers eager to get their hands on Final Fantasy XIII. With the title not due out until spring of 2010 in Europe and North America, only Japanese gamers could look forward to seeing Square Enix's epic role-playing game this year.

CCP Announce Dust 514

At a recent Game Developers Developers Conference CCP, makers of Eve Online, announced a new MMOFPS.  This is going to be aimed at the Console Market so no word yet on if a PC options will come out however Dust 514 (what a name!) will be set in the Eve Universe. 

Cologne, GERMANY, Game Developers Conference Europe – August 18, 2009

CCP today revealed DUST 514™, a console-based hybrid MMO/FPS set within the EVE universe. The announcement, which included a video featuring gameplay footage, was made during a keynote address by CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Petursson at the Game Developers Conference in Cologne, Germany.

DUST 514, featuring first-person shooter and RTS-style gameplay, will interact directly with EVE Online, CCP’s critically acclaimed flagship MMO.  This interplay between the two games opens the EVE universe to console gamers and gives them a chance to become part of one of the most massive cooperative play and social experiences ever.

We have all done it.  Crank up the surround sound, load up the game and storm in to the front room with a power slide from the kitchen .... well I have done it.  I am ready to do it again with Guitar Hero 5 for all major consoles.
