Welcome to the PK BBQ 2009. Our yearly meet up of PK members to celebrate the PK of the Year Awards and just to get drunk.
For those of you unable to attend this year we will try to keep you involved by updating this post as often as we can. Unfortunately no live streams available as we don’t want DJ stripping off in front of a webcam!
This year we are also raising money for Cancer Research.

First of the PK Arrivals.
Itchi, Tav, Aldor and Lyselle will be among the first to arrive on Thursday morning. The day is planned to start with some games and no doubt a few beers.
As and when things change we will post here.
Day 1 in the Big Brother House. Tav attempts to keep up with drinking against Aldor on Day 1. Bad idea and whilst he is not wasted it was soon decided not to attempt to keep up. Still he can allways go for an easier target like DJ!
It has been decided that Tav's hair needs a PK trim. When and how this will happen has yet to be decided.
Dewi, Adfer, Nich and Zoiby all arrived today as well so it was time to play test the new game of the weekend called Werewolves. Needless to say both myself and Noggin have no chance of winning this at all.
In keeping with tradition we also had to burn some wood at Swifts. Breaking the wood with our hands and feet seemed a good idea until one snapped and nearly castrated Aldor. The bruise this morning resembles Kalimdor!
Also ask Tav about getting pissed on non-alcholic Cider.
Finally the chocolate fountain came out. The pictures which will be uploaded may seem to show me attempting to drink the whole thing. I can assure you thats not the case - Honest!

Thursday will start off with some Alcohol and several new games that Swift has gone out and bought. Any dodgy gameplay will be posted here.

More Arrivals.
The day before the big day see’s the majority of PK’s arriving. We will keep you posted as to the who’s who as and when it happens.
Andi has turned up this morning.
Proper breakfast of sausauge, eggs and bacon with lots of tea has been consumed.
After a few brews Hagg, Jenni, Gruz, Grolschy, Nog and Ninnie turn up, shortly followed by Darkforge, Emp and Raleka and then Laz, Kinell and DJ ... for some reason there's a lot of hairy, smelly werewolves around this afternoon - if only Aldor could stop getting lynched in the first round!!
After several rounds of playing Werewolves we have deducecd that Laz is the least trust worthy by far, watch yourselfs out there when dealing with him! as the beer continues to flow and the general soberity of the group decreses i find it harder and harder to type out this message. The first of the PK Pub Quiz begins shortly and we shall find out once and for all which of the PK bunch has the best knowledge (no points for guessing Tav or Aldor isnt one of them). Join us again for more updates shortly as the BBQ continues 'oooooooo ahhhhhhh' *wavey hands* (paragraph written by nich :D \o/ :P)

PK Pub Quiz 1
You say Pub, I say Quiz ..... Pub
Friday night will kick off with Pub quiz number 1. 40 Questions of which at least 10 will be WOW related. Winner gets to gloat.
And so the great quiz is over and PK isw now well and truely drunk, emp is stood over my shoulder asking if this is the internet, well 'YES' is my anwer emp, yes..........it turns out some team won the quiz that wasnt Dewi Adfer Nich and Darkforge, who they were is irrelevant as they wernt these people :) The winners won £30 between them, (new infomation turns out that Laz, Kinell, Tav, Itchi, Andyski and Gruz were the winners). Also in related news Aldor is currently in the doghouse after loosing £100 to Laz in a pool competition, Laz openly accepts any challenge for people to take the title of pool champion of PK, or also this applies to any challenge any time, so PK members feel free to challenge him at anything u wish, he has now approved this (whitnessed by Nichgoul ^-^) (Cat now reveals that the winning team actually had 2 extra team members than allocated so had an unfair advantage, therefore clearly the winner is surely Nich's tatoo (note from Cat - this is a lie.......).Also the money pot for Cancer reasearch UK is starting to get heavy, PK would like to thank everybody who has given so far, keep donating or Julie will launch an endless assault of Custard Creams at you with a

PK Awards.
The PK awards are awards that are voted for the weeks before the BBQ and consist of two awards. These are PK of the Year and PK Admin of the Year. The winners of this year's awards won a 60 day warcraft gamecard and a copy of Treval's new album. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you Ian for deciding to announce the winners at the smoking gazebo for some strange reason, which resulted in the vast majority of the PK BBQ goes attempting to squeeze into it :P.

The main part of the day with food and drink galore, a big thank you to Andyski who valliantly gave up his time to cook and prepare the food for the BBQ :) (and ofc for putting up with the assistant that he did, i'm not naming any names but he did resemble a certain guild leader >_>)

Killer Pool
With the killer pool match being set up Aldor decided to take a note from the day before and not add any extra wager to the admission cost of the tournamant. After several exciting rounds with the lessers falling by the wayside as the competition progressed Laz was crowned Killer Pool Champion. Congratulations to Laz :D
At least one Killer pool competition will be played. Winners to be announced.
PK Derby
The PK Derby quickly descended into a competition as to who can hit each other in the face with weapons the hardest, or indeed just jumping off and using the horse as a bludgering tool. After multiple hillarious matches, DJ was crowned the unoffical winner of the PK Derby as in a match against Ian he proceeded to lift him up in the air upside down to display his victory!
PK Rock Gods.
Many people believed that with Whurin not being here this year the competition was open to anyone, however some people shone through and would certainly be some good competition for him. After a long and slightly ill designed system of heats *cough cough* :P Nog rised
Whurin is not here this year so this competition is wide open. Who will be the PK Rock God!
Singstar Cat Wailers Competition
The singstar Teams take centre stage in an attempt to claim the title of singstar champions. After several awful renditions and masacaring of popular songs, and even an appearance from a special guest (potato-wedge face), Lyselle, Jenni and Cat beat off the crowds of awful singers to win :D \o/
Sunday
Hangovers and Soft Drinks?
Sunday morning began with people nursing hangovers, I actually started to write the entire update post for Saturday but when the internet connection went it was all lost >_< The 1st few people said goodbye and headed back during the morning but we were still approximately 25 people strong as we headed to Star City. On the way Swift drove over a mine, he wrote off his car and Emp lost an arm but we were otherwise ok and so continued onwards to Star City.
Bowling
After arriving at the bowling place we were devastated to find that the electrocution machine was no longer there, sadly we couldnt’s force Ian or Julie or idd anyone else to go on it, although after 10 or 20 minutes playing around the various games we started two games of bowling across 4 lanes. I would love to comment on Darkforge’s camp bowling pose, however i wouldn’t dream of victimising him here for that >_> :P. After the two games Zoiby was recognised as the best bowler of the night just beating Aldor to the post, although a mention must also be given to Barbro for his outstanding bowling :D After the bowling we proceeded to get a few more drinks in and then head over to Laser Quest.
Lasers
We all sorted who was playing and all gave our possessions to Gruz to look after, we were a little unsure if she was going to run off with everyone’s belongings so we handcuffed her ankle to the chair to prevent this while we played. As we sat in the holding room we had a woman come and explain the rules to us, ofc non of us understood her as she didn’t speak English but we all nodded in agreement. Unfortunately we couldn’t follow up on our original plan of having two teams of 10 and then Noggin, and had to split up into 3 teams of 7. During the 10 minute match all hell broke loose and we had great fun shooting each other with lazors, however at the end as we went outside we realised that we were all sweating and knackered, and were reminded that we were all gamers. I think everyone at this point was a little scared that we still had another two matches left. In 1st place after the preliminary match was Darkforge, in fact he was 1st every time over the 3 matches, i cba saying it thrice that’s all :P For each of the following matches we mixed up the teams abit. It soon became apart that the reason Darkforge was winning so much was that he could reach up and over the barriers and walls like giant cheating laser quest person.... >_>. After the 3 matches were over and we were all well and truly covered in sweat and staggering around and 5 or 10 minutes recuperating the group split up. Five of us stayed at Star City for a couple of rounds while the rest went back to the hotel for a shower and get ready to go out to The Yenton (a nice carvery type pub just up the road from the hotel). Everyone met up after an hour or so and enjoyed a nice meal and a few drinks there before heading back to the hotel for more drinking and games. (ok the drinking was pretty much apart of every aspect of the weekend, so if its not mentioned assume its there at the time :P)
For the second pub quiz Scott took over as quiz master. After 40 questions and many laughs it turned out that Lyselle, Bluey, Rallycar and Barbro won, just narrowly beating team Cat. (we at team cat came to the conclusion they cheated. Team Cat consisted of Cat answering all the questions and me, Swift, Emp and Mini providing moral support and acted as human shields protecting people from spying on our paper.)
Poker Tournament
About 8 people took part in the PK poker tournament, and after a long enjoyable game Ian spoilt it all by winning. (<<< see I worked it in don’t worry) :P
As the night progressed and the sobriety of the group decreased again to new depths we ended up getting out the werewolf again, and ended up playing until around 2:50 am. The only problem was that by this time there were only 6 of us left with the ability to play the game and so we didn’t even have an adjudicator which led to a whole series of drunken rules being invented to get around this such as using the sheriff card as a pointer the wolf has to move to kill someone, a concept I struggled to understand when it was my turn as the wolf :P. We also came up with several new card ideas, one example of these was the Window Licker card, if the wolf kills the Window Licker he breaks a tooth.......
It got to around 3am and we felt sorry for the old guy who worked the night shifts at the hotel/bar, after spending the previous two nights going to bed at 4am, no thanks to me *whistles* :P we decided to call it a night. After realising after awhile that Emp had some vodka in his room and i wasn’t tired i managed to persuade him to part with it and the two of us continued drinking for awhile longer :D
Monday
The Last Day (ish)
Monday morning started with me and Emp sat eating breakfast at around 7am, Julie was the first to come and join us and said 'oh you teo are up early' to which our response was that we haddnt been to sleep yet and we only stopped drinking half an hour ago, so as you can imagine eating breakfast was quite a challenge for us :P After some people beginning to leave now the last intrepped PK BBQers continued on toward Birmingham, not before waking me up after the 30 minutes sleep that i had began to enjoy ofc :P (currently being edited, please come back shortly) :construction:
