Just a quick interesting snippet of information.
It appears that the THQ game “Warhammer 40K: Space Marine” is not listed at all on Steam. Now considering the game requires Steamworks to play this is a very odd setup indeed.
There are rumours going round that some big name retailers are putting pressure on developers not to allow Steam to sell the game.
Well not state the obvious but in the UK those “big name” retailers do not seem to care about PC users so Steam is one of our best resources. After all how many times have you gone in to one of these stores to find that if you want version of the Sims your fine but look for any new release and you will be hard pressed to locate it. I say let Steam have the monopoly as they offer a great service. However Steam need to come up with ways to allow you to play the games with no connection.

In most cases these games will be board games converted to an online format.
For the games you will need to download a client from http://www.brettspielwelt.com and also register on http://en.boardgamearena.com/
At GDC this year David Cage, the head of the studio behind Heavy Rain, talked about his issues with games as they currently are. More often than not, there's a distinction between the gameplay and the story. Take a game like Uncharted 2, where you'll be running and gunning and having a blast, but all the central story moments are in isolated cut-scenes. It's a valid complaint, and something that developers are trying to tackle.
One of those developers is Funcom in their upcoming MMORPG The Secret World . The Secret World is an MMO with a very gripping premise -- you're an agent in a secret society (either the Illuminati, the Templars or the Dragon) and your task, at least at the start of the game, is to investigate paranormal happenings around the world. It's a modern-day world meant to mirror our Earth to some extent, except in The Secret World the things we take as myth or insane conspiracy theory are completely true -- they're just hidden from view by organizations like those you join.
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers was a huge hit last year, selling over half a million digital copies. It also got me playing Magic again after about 15 years. This summer Duels of the Planeswalkers will get a similarly-named sequel in Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. Several new features are being added to the deck, including a new cooperative campaign called Archenemy, which I got to see today at PAX East.
In Archenemy, up to three players take on a string of overpowered bosses. The Archenemies have 40 life, which is twice the usual starting amount, and also possess powerful Scheme Cards that only they can wield. These jerks must defeat all three players, so even if one or two of you are defeated you still have a chance to take down the bully. Players will be able to host or join a game over Steam, Xbox Live, or PlayStation Network, or computer players can be added in the absence of humans.
The revelation came in an interview with producer Mattias Lilja of publisher Paradox Interactive at Big Download. He also revealed that multiple pieces of downloadable content, both paid and free, are in the works.
Kotaku reports that the team is still aiming to finish Diablo 3 for 2011. "That's our goal," said executive VP of game design Rob Pardo. "But you know, at the end of the day, we are going to get it right.

Microsoft head Steve Ballmer hinted that Kinect will be getting PC support in the future.
